Family Accounts & Privacy Policy
Creating a Family Account is completely free. To protect our family's private data, none of the database, archive, or family tree is available without an active account. Anyone in the family may register for an account. If you are unknown to the administrator, you may be asked to provide documentation proving your lineage or have a known family member vouch for your account request.
Account Visibility Rules
Once your account is approved, what you can see inside the archive is governed by these strict privacy guidelines:
- Deceased Individuals: All deceased individuals are visible to anyone logged into a family account. In the absence of concrete death data, an individual is automatically considered deceased 110 years after their date of birth.
- Living Individuals: Every account is assigned to a specific family branch based on the account holder's great-grandparents. This assignment allows you to see the full profiles of all your first and second cousins, whether living or deceased. For living individuals outside of your immediate first and second cousin branch, only their names are visible.
- GDPR Protections: Certain individuals are marked explicitly as private. These profiles fall under stricter European GDPR regulations and will remain completely hidden from all accounts until the individual is deceased or older than 110 years.
Contribute to the Archive
Account holders are highly encouraged to suggest edits to the tree. You can help expand and enrich our shared history by adding missing biographical details such as birth, death, and marriage dates, or missing middle names. You are also welcome to contribute historical documents, family photographs, or written personal stories.
To preserve historical integrity, all contributed data is carefully vetted before being permanently added to the family tree. Approved submissions may be considered for future print editions of the family book, though inclusion cannot be guaranteed due to formatting rules and physical space constraints.
Terms of Use & Copyright
The compiled data, biographical narratives, custom layout structures, and media within this archive represent proprietary historical research. By registering for and logging into an account, you agree that all information is provided solely for personal, non-commercial genealogical research. Commercial exploitation, automated scraping, or wholesale reproduction of this data on public websites and commercial databases (such as Ancestry, MyHeritage, or FamilySearch) is strictly prohibited without explicit written permission.
